RATIONALE
The main image of the poster, "Snake-like Lion Dance", is the core innovation point of this creation. Traditional lion dance symbolizes auspiciousness and strength, but its image is relatively fixed. While the snake in Chinese culture represents spirituality and transformation. Combining the two, it not only retains the festive atmosphere of the lion dance, but also gives it a new dynamic beauty. The flowing lines of the snake body refer to the intangible weaving craft and the patterns of Han Dynasty lacquerware, making the overall shape have both traditional roots and modern tension.
The mountains, clouds, fish and the character "Fu" in the background further enrich the layers of the picture. The mountains represent the profound foundation of culture, the cloud patterns symbolize auspiciousness, the fish leaping dynamically echoes the auspicious meaning of "year after year with plenty", and the character "Fu" clarifies the festive theme. These elements are not simply piled up, but through composition and color coordination, form a picture with both narrative and visual impact.
At the same time, the colors and composition of the poster have also been carefully designed. The main color of red and gold retains the festive feeling of traditional festivals, while the silver-blue scales of the snake body add a futuristic touch, creating a visual effect that blends the past and the present. This contrast is not only to attract attention, but also to express the concept that "cultural innovation is not abandoning tradition, but continuing it in a new way".

Techniques Applied
Core Technologies of the Course:
- Seamless Patterns: Through mirror displacement, ensure edge connection. The path finder is used for clipping and the result is saved in the palette library, enabling infinite tiling.
- Texture Processing: Transparency masks combined with free gradients (black and white nodes) control lighting and shadows. Particle effects enhance material layers.
- Brush System: Customized five types of brushes - calligraphy brush (angle/roundness adjustment), scatter brush (random distribution parameters), pattern brush (endpoint customization), and brush pen simulation realistic brush strokes.
Self-expansion Technology:
- Integrating AI to generate pattern elements to enhance design efficiency;
- Optimizing the pressure sensitivity of the drawing tablet to enhance the dynamic brush strokes.
Self-reflection
The most satisfactory aspect:
The seamless application of patterns in the animation background - the mirror logic precisely resolves the seam issue, and the superimposition of particle textures with transparency masks gives the scene a natural hand-drawn texture.
Areas for improvement:
- Pattern accuracy: Local misalignment occurs when complex elements are tiled, the displacement calculation formula needs to be verified;
- Brush adaptation: Random parameters of the scatter brush result in uneven distribution, multiple parameter libraries should be preset;
- Mask efficiency: The adjustment of gradient nodes is time-consuming, subsequent operations will be replaced with batch scripting.
