Lecture 

In this live lecture, we were brought through the class platforms and communication channels, as well as given a brief briefing on later projects. We were then left with a few tasks to complete as a warm up, before any real exercises/projects were given.

Things that were to be done:

• Create an e-portfolio blog
• Create a Pinterest board for DPI
• Find 3 graphic design work on Pinterest and explain why we like them

Practical 

Design #1:

This is a movie poster design. The poster is mainly in dark red and dark yellow tones. These two colors create a retro atmosphere. The combination of these colors enables people to sense the emotional tension in the movie at a glance. The composition of the poster is very simple. The main character is placed at the center of the picture, surrounded by a lot of blank space. The shadows are looking at each other, but the characters are moving further apart, creating a sense of detachment. I think there are more delicate emotions hidden behind the poster, which makes me curious.

This is a poster design with a torn-paper effect. It features a very creative design approach. By imitating the texture of a stack of newspapers being torn, it creates a unique three-dimensional effect. The color scheme is a contrast between black and white, presenting a very artistic look. I think it's very innovative and interesting.

This poster uses red and white in contrast, creating a strong visual effect. With a large area of white as the base color, the red color attracts my attention in the central part. I feel that the red creates some  tense atmosphere. Maybe this poster intends to convey deeper emotions or information through the use of colors.
