PROJECT 2A: DOUBLE EXPOSURE

PART 1 (DOUBLE EXPOSURE FOLLOW TUTORIAL)

PART 2  (MY OWN DOUBLE EXPOSURE)

REFLECTIONS

The design of this double silhouette poster has enabled me to shift from technical imitation to personal expression. By superimposing travel photos and Japanese elements (such as cherry blossoms and Mount Fuji), I attempted to balance visual layers and cultural symbols. However, initially, due to too many elements, the picture became chaotic. Eventually, by simplifying the color tones and adjusting the transparency, the problem was solved. This made me realize: less is more. The precise use of symbols is more effective than simply stacking them.

In the process of creation, I not only enjoyed the pleasure of integrating memories with art, but also reflected on the depth of cultural expression. Next time, I will pay more attention to the symbolic meaning of the elements and the blank space in the picture, making the silhouette not only a form but also a carrier of the story.

PROJECT 2B: POSTER DESIGN

Theme:

1. Renewal of life: Return Contemplate, human beings' relationship with all things.

2. Cultural Prosperity: Celebration - A Totem of Renewing Festive Culture

3. Genesis: The Future - Imagine the Innovative World of the Future

4. City Inspiration: Beauty - The Scenery of Hometown

These are my progress about this work

REFLECTIONS

This static poster creation made me realize that there are inherent limitations in the way graphic design conveys environmental protection concepts - although the gradient blue tones and the composition with living creatures successfully created the visual charm of the ocean, the one-way output form lacks a deep dialogue with the viewers. The whales are always frozen in the moment of leaping out of the water, and the plastic waste can only exist in symbolic form. I cannot allow the audience to personally experience the fragility of the marine ecosystem. This deficiency is precisely what prompted me to turn to dynamic media: true environmental awareness awakening requires creating an experience that allows people to "enter the picture", rather than just passively "watching the picture". In my next creation, I will try to embed more narrative threads in the static form, such as making the floating plastic bags form a more tense composition with the whales, or hinting at the time dimension in the visual hierarchy (such as the contrast between before and after coral bleaching), so that the two-dimensional plane can also tell a four-dimensional ecological story.
